Covid-19 Update #3
- The St. John’s Soccer Club will follow the guidelines set down by Canada Soccer, Newfoundland & Labrador Soccer Association (NLSA), and the City of St. John’s. The Department of Health will have the final say on the conditions under which sports reopen. The NLSA has made a presentation to Sport Newfoundland & Labrador on how they see soccer can proceed. In turn, Sport Newfoundland and Labrador will be making a presentation to the Department of Health on the steps each sport will be taking to reopen. But I must stress that the Department of Health will have the final say on when and how we can start our program.
- I have attached with this memo the first draft of the Metro League schedule for this summer. This will give parents a general idea of the weekends their child might be playing this summer. Please note that this is Draft # 1. The final draft will come once we know the date on which we can start our program. For the players from Under 13 – Under 17, the NLSA is responsible for the schedule and once we receive that information, we will forward it on to you.
- Our next memo will go out on May 26 and at that time, we will include an update on winter fees for 2019 – 20.
- Finally, some good news: The fundraiser we held for the Community Food Sharing Association and Kids Eat Smart Program raised $940.00. We will be issuing a cheque in the amount of $470.00 to each of these organizations. The club would like to say a big "Thank You" to all who donated.
REMEMBER: STAY SAFE
