The Athletic Excellence Fund (AEF) is now accepting applications. Supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation and Sport Newfoundland and Labrador, the AEF provides funding through five streams: the Premier’s Athletic Awards, the Team Gushue Awards, the Michelle Healey Memorial Award, the Elite Athlete Assistance Program, and the SportNL Scholarship Program.
The SportNL Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to eligible amateur athletes, coaches, and officials to help offset training and competition costs.

Athletes must submit their completed applications electronically to our office by end of day Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
